3-Storey 15-Classroom School Building

Hello people of Internet Land... As promised, these are the pics of my main line of work... Clicking for money is just a part time job for me. I am a licensed Civil Engineer here in Cebu City, Philippines. And this school building is one of my projects.

3-Storey 15-Classroom School Building
This was the very first day of the said project. My men were clearing the site location in preparation for the proposed school building.

We rented a backhoe to dig the 21 holes for the 2.0 meter foundation for the building. The rent is not so cheap, but it's waaaay cheaper if people were to dig the holes. It is also super speedy compared to men.

The two engineers at the left of the picture are from the Department of Engineering and Public Works from the City of Cebu. They are there to insure that the building is built according to the specification of the plan.

My men are pouring concrete for a column. It has a 0.5 meter by 0.5 meter dimension. Can it support a three-storey building? of course, yes!

Here is the support for the second floor slab. Concrete will be poured here and the wood will shape the concrete and it will become a beam or a slab. Proper support should be placed below this, because this is the heaviest load of all the concrete works for this building.

We contacted JLR for our ready mix concrete needs. This is a pumpcrete station. Concrete will flow towards the end of this machine for easy placement.

The second floor slab is finished! We can see here that we are readying for the second floor column.

Hopefully, come opening day, this building will be used by Grade 1 pupils of Labangon Elementary School. And this concludes our post today. Happy Clicking!
